Drawing Intensive Program for High School Students

The Studio of Harris Martinson offers a limited number of spots each fall and spring for small-group drawing instruction to high-school sophomores, juniors, and seniors.  The 10-week intensive is designed to establish a foundation in the fundamentals of drawing that will be the bedrock of the student's own ongoing creative practice.

Students will work from observation to gain a fluency in drawing mediums as they explore the use of line, shape, proportion, value, and composition with pencil and charcoal.  The Drawing Intensive Program is designed to help students gain confidence in their abilities and develop their own creative voice.  Many students will choose use the work completed in the program as part of their college application portfolio.
