Harris Martinson was born in Maryland in 1985.

He is an artist working in painting, drawing, and sculpture.

He holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) and a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from The University of Iowa (Iowa City, Iowa). He presented his first solo exhibition The Future Burns in 2023 and has shown in group exhibitions at the Contemporary Art Center (Cincinnati, Ohio), the Leeds Gallery at Earlham College (Richmond, Indiana), and at The Cooper Union (New York, New York).

From 2021 to 2023, he taught courses in Color Theory & Practice and Beginning Drawing at Miami University. He currently serves as a Technical Assistant in the Art & Architecture Shop at The Cooper Union.
